Beta terms of use

Clear terms for an advisory developer tool.

These Terms govern access to and use of the Qedix public beta operated by Qohere Private Limited.

What Qedix provides

The product scope and the role of its reports.

Advisory review evidence

Qedix analyzes supported JavaScript and TypeScript pull-request changes and provides production-readiness evidence, recommendations, and suggested verification.

Maintainers decide

Qedix does not automatically approve, merge, release, or deploy customer code. Your team remains responsible for all engineering and operational decisions.

No complete detection guarantee

Results depend on available code and context. A clean or low-severity result does not guarantee that software is defect-free, secure, compliant, or ready for every environment.

Suggested tests

Suggested tests are recommendations unless Qedix expressly states that a test was executed and provides the corresponding result.

GitHub access and authorization

Your responsibilities when connecting repositories.

You are responsible for ensuring that you have permission to install the Qedix GitHub App, authorize repositories, process repository content, and permit Qedix to publish check results. You must promptly remove access when authorization is no longer appropriate.

Selected repositories

GitHub administrators control which repositories are made available to the GitHub App and may modify or remove that access through GitHub.

Private repositories

If you authorize a private repository, you direct Qedix to process relevant private repository content for providing the service.

Review GitHub permissions

Customer content

Ownership and the permission required to operate Qedix.

You retain ownership

As between you and Qohere, you retain your rights in repository content and other material you provide to Qedix. These Terms do not transfer ownership of customer code to Qohere.

Limited service permission

You grant Qohere a limited, non-exclusive permission to access, process, reproduce, transmit, and display customer content only as reasonably needed to provide, secure, support, and maintain Qedix and comply with law.

Acceptable use

Rules intended to protect customers, GitHub resources, and Qedix.

  • 01

Use Qedix only with repositories, organizations, and information you are authorized to access.

  • 02

Do not submit credentials, secrets, unrelated personal information, or content that you do not have authority to process.

  • 03

Do not attempt to disrupt, overload, bypass, probe, or gain unauthorized access to Qedix or another customer’s information.

  • 04

Do not reverse engineer protected service components except where applicable law expressly permits it.

  • 05

Do not use Qedix to create malware, violate law, infringe rights, or facilitate unauthorized access.

  • 06

Use the responsible-disclosure process for good-faith security research involving Qedix.

Security responsibilities

Security is shared between Qohere, users, administrators, and third-party platforms.

Your responsibilities

Protect GitHub accounts, credentials, access tokens, devices, and administrator permissions. Notify Qohere promptly if you suspect unauthorized Qedix access involving your account.

Security reporting

Suspected Qedix vulnerabilities should be reported privately through the responsible-disclosure process before public disclosure.

Responsible disclosure

Beta changes, availability, and pricing

The current beta may evolve before general availability.

Product changes

Qohere may add, change, limit, suspend, or discontinue beta functionality as the product develops.

Availability

Qohere does not promise uninterrupted or error-free availability and does not provide a public-beta service-level agreement.

Future paid plans

Qohere may introduce paid plans later. No fee will be charged without presenting applicable pricing and obtaining the required agreement or authorization.

Third-party services

Qedix depends on services that have their own terms and controls.

Qedix integrates with or relies on services such as GitHub and Amazon Web Services. Your use of those services remains governed by their applicable terms. Qohere is not responsible for third-party services outside its control, including changes, outages, restrictions, or actions taken by those providers.

Qedix and Qohere intellectual property

The service remains protected while customer ownership is preserved.

Qohere and its licensors retain all rights in Qedix, including its software, design, documentation, branding, reports as a format, proprietary methods, and related technology, excluding customer content and third-party materials.

Subject to these Terms, Qohere grants you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the public beta for its intended internal software-development purpose.

Feedback

How optional product feedback may be used.

If you voluntarily provide suggestions or feedback about Qedix, you permit Qohere to use that feedback without restriction or payment. Do not include confidential customer code or third-party confidential information in feedback.

Suspension and termination

When access may end and what happens afterward.

By the user

You may stop using Qedix, remove repository access, or uninstall the GitHub App at any time. Data deletion is a separate request described in the Privacy Notice.

By Qohere

Qohere may limit or suspend access where reasonably necessary to protect the service, comply with law, address misuse, investigate security concerns, or operate the public beta.

Disclaimers

Important limitations of the public beta.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Qedix is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, uninterrupted availability, or error-free operation. Rights and warranties that cannot legally be excluded remain unaffected.

Limitation of liability

Allocation of risk for the free public beta.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Qohere will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business opportunity arising from Qedix.

Qohere’s total aggregate liability arising from or relating to Qedix or these Terms will not exceed the amount paid by you for Qedix during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. Limitations do not apply where liability cannot be limited under applicable law.
